**TREACLE was used by the army medical services.**
A footbridge over the Orne was therefore reinforced so that casualties could be safely carried across it by hand. The light ambulance of an independent brigade was stationed at this footbridge.
The Bailey bridges and road bridges were reserved for combatant troops.
Evacuation was over the footbridge to M.A.C. car in a strip of ground between the river and the canal.

Une passerelle sur l’Orne fut donc renforcée afin que les blessés puissent y être transportés à la main en toute sécurité. L’ambulance légère d’une brigade indépendante fut affectée à cette passerelle.
Les ponts Bailey et les ponts routiers étaient réservés aux troupes combattantes.
L'évacuation se faisait par la passerelle jusqu'au véhicule M.A.C., situé sur une bande de terrain entre la rivière et le canal.
