Geneva 🇫🇯 — a meeting worth sharing.

Last week, Susana sat down with H.E. Laitia Tamata, Fiji’s Permanent Representative to the UN in Geneva, wearing two hats: founder & host of Maramas Talk, and PDM France/UK for Pacific Rugby Players.

She said, “What stayed with me most wasn’t the title on his door — it was how down to earth he was. “This is your mission, we are here to serve,” he kept saying. Small words. Huge shift. That’s what real service looks like — a man who listens first, who wants your ideas, not just to hand you his.

Susana also had the chance to sit with the famous , Mr. Sivaniolo Naisua Ratoto, Second Secretary — “I could listened to him for days. The way he explained multilateral and bilateral affairs was so simple and interesting, and he was just as warm and friendly”, she added. 😊

And a special mention for the woman who encouraged this meeting — a fellow ex-rugby wife, now serving as the Executive Assistant to HE Tamata. We are so very proud of the work she’s doing and the path she’s built for herself. This is what our women can do.
Wishing you but the best Mrs Ruci Sovatabua.

Vinaka vakalevu to the whole team for their warm reception: Ms. Keleni Seruvatu (Deputy Permanent Representative), Mr. Wilisoni B. Jiuta (First Secretary), Mr Yousuf Qurashi
Advisor and Administrator and to
Mr. Ismail Maxamed (Chauffeur).

“Strong communities are not huilt by chance. They are woven together”. Susana

More to come. 🌊

Bordeaux 7s 2026, photo dump. 🤩

Beautiful to see our Maramas in France meeting up after so many years, not forgetting their kids and husbands too. Life gets really busy in France when the rugby season is on, and we don’t really get to meet a lot more often. But today was a different day. Room filled with kids, laughter and pure joy.
We were honored to be graced by the presence of Fiji’s Minister of Information Ms Lynda Tabuya, HE PRUNOG Tamata, his staff from the Geneva office and the Fiji 7s team.

A 7s weekend bringing Fijians from all over Europe together for some Fijian food, some Fijian fun and Fijian kava.

As someone who has lived her for nearly 20yrs because of rugby, this is some thing we always tend to forget to do when we are home for our summer holidays.

Share this to your loved ones and friends that may need this reminder.

A very happy holidays to our pacific rugby players and their families.

LIVE TOMORROW — Sunday 10am France
Susana will be going live to share how she was able to get French citizenship for her son born in France. The law, the documents, the tribunal appointment — our real experience, nothing held back.
Pacific families in France — this one is for you. Your children have rights. Let’s talk about them. 💛

This genuinely touched me, seeing Fiji being spoken about like this here in France made me emotional a little. 🇫🇯🥹 I was one of the lucky ones to be there during the opening night.

To hear our stories, our culture, our people and our history being shared and respected so beautifully… this means so much.

Sometimes living far from home, you don’t realise how much you miss hearing and seeing pieces of your identity until moments like this happen. 🌺

Proud Fijian moment honestly. ❤️ Proud proud Fijian.
We are so proud of Mr SamsSamson Verma fellow Fijian also living in France, who was part of this huge project & who you can see speaking in this video.

I didn’t know what cerclage was until Neomai. And I’m the host. 😭
Imagine how many mamas out there are going through this completely alone.
Not anymore!!!

Full replay on Facebook. Link in bio. 🌺

Some stories are shared…
but not always heard.

This Friday, we create space to truly listen.

💛 Join us for a Live Talanoa on Maramas Talk
as Neomai opens up about her journey as a cerclage mum — this time, live and unfiltered.

Her story has been shared before…
but this is the first time she’ll speak on it in a live talanoa.

A conversation many don’t have,
yet so many women quietly live through.

🗓 Friday, 8th May 2026
⏰ 11AM (French time)

Hosted by Susana

This is about awareness.
This is about connection.
This is about breaking silence.

Come and listen. Come and support. 🤍

Tag a mama who needs to hear this.
Save this so you don’t miss it.
