Saturday fundraising stall in Aberystwyth

It was a busy Saturday on the square, with the Revolutionary Communists selling their newspapers in support of a free Palestine and against imperialism, while Yes Cymru Aberystwyth handed out information about the importance of Welsh independence and opposition to historical colonialism.

A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by yesterday — whether you bought something, donated, or simply waved or smiled in support.

The situation in Gaza is desperate. With the crossing having been closed since Wednesday, prices have skyrocketed and people are struggling to buy what they need.

Families in Gaza rely on donations to survive. With homes destroyed, livelihoods lost, and little or no access to work, many have no income and are unable to meet their basic needs.

Every donation helps families buy food, clean water and medicine, pay rent, and afford other essentials.

Please support Palestinian families by donating, sharing their campaigns, and helping keep them visible.

Roedd hi’n ddydd Sadwrn prysur ar y sgwâr, gyda’r Comiwnyddion Chwyldroadol yn gwerthu eu papurau newydd i gefnogi Palestina rydd ac i wrthwynebu imperialaeth, tra roedd yn dosbarthu gwybodaeth am bwysigrwydd annibyniaeth i Gymru a’r gwrthwynebiad i wladychiaeth hanesyddol.

Diolch o galon i bawb a alwodd heibio ddoe — boed ichi brynu rhywbeth, rhoi rhodd, neu ddim ond chwifio llaw neu wenu i ddangos eich cefnogaeth.

Mae’r sefyllfa yn Gaza yn enbyd. Gyda’r groesfan wedi bod ar gau ers dydd Mercher, mae prisiau wedi codi’n aruthrol ac mae pobl yn ei chael hi’n anodd prynu’r hyn sydd ei angen arnynt.

Mae teuluoedd yn Gaza yn dibynnu ar roddion i oroesi. Gyda chartrefi wedi’u dinistrio, bywoliaethau wedi’u colli, ac ychydig iawn o gyfle neu ddim cyfle o gwbl i weithio, nid oes gan lawer incwm ac maent yn methu â diwallu eu hanghenion sylfaenol.

Mae pob rhodd yn helpu teuluoedd i brynu bwyd, dŵr glân a meddyginiaeth, talu rhent, a fforddio hanfodion eraill.

Our friends and allies at the Palestine Solidarity Movement have organised a campaign calling on the club to refuse the fixture.

A UN Commission of Inquiry has found that Israel committed genocide against Palestinians in Gaza. FIFA has sanctioned the Israel Football Association over discrimination and racist abuse. Football must act.

Support the campaign, challenge business as usual and demand action.

Call on AFC Bournemouth to refuse the fixture, the FA to support suspension, and FIFA and UEFA to suspend Israeli national and club teams.

Aberystwyth stands with Palestine

On Saturday 10th October, over 150 people gathered in Aberystwyth for the Global Alliance For Palestine Global Day of Action, marking three years of genocide.

We marched to remember the dead, stand in solidarity with the living and raise vital funds for the three families we support in Gaza.

We walked in silence through the wild West Wales wind, hoping it would carry our love and solidarity to our friends in Gaza.

We heard messages from the families and sent video messages back. They want you to know how deeply touched they were that you spoke their names, and how this gives them hope in the darkness.

Thank you to everyone who marched, drummed, sang, spoke, organised and donated. Your generosity helps these families and reminds them they are not forgotten or alone.

We must keep standing against genocide and demanding an end to our government’s complicity.

End the genocide!

Mae Aberystwyth yn sefyll gyda Phalestina

Ddydd Sadwrn 10 Hydref, daeth dros 150 o bobl ynghyd yn Aberystwyth ar gyfer Diwrnod Gweithredu Byd-eang y Gynghrair Fyd-eang dros Balesteina, gan nodi tair blynedd o hil-laddiad.

Gorymdeithion ni i gofio’r meirw, i sefyll mewn undod â’r rhai sy’n dal yn fyw, ac i godi a***n hanfodol ar gyfer y tair teulu rydyn ni’n eu cefnogi yng Ngaza.

Cerddon ni mewn distawrwydd drwy wynt gwyllt Gorllewin Cymru, gan obeithio y byddai’n cario ein cariad a’n hundod at ein ffrindiau yng Ngaza.

Clywon ni negeseuon gan y teuluoedd ac anfonon ni negeseuon fideo yn ôl. Maen nhw eisiau i chi wybod cymaint roedd y ffaith eich bod wedi dweud eu henwau yn cyffwrdd â’u calonnau, a sut mae hyn yn rhoi gobaith iddyn nhw yn y tywyllwch.

Join us as we walk in silence, accompanied by a mournful drum, to honour those murdered in Gaza and raise vital funds for three Palestinian families enduring the ongoing genocide.

We’ll walk along the Prom to Llys y Brenin (Ambassadors), where we’ll hear messages from Fares, Ziad, Lulu and Mousa — members of the families supported by PSAber. Their voices, their lives and their stories must be heard.

Our friends and allies in Cardigan will gather on the Guildhall steps for their fortnightly Beeps for Gaza.

This Saturday, people across the world will come together to mark three years of Israel’s devastating genocide in Gaza. Millions are taking to the streets, raising their voices and demanding an end to the slaughter — and we will stand with them.

Hello friends, my family and l are living in a damaged tent. It is old, torn, and no longer keeps the rain out. I have tried many times to repair it, but whenever it rains, the water still comes through.

We are very worried that our bedding and the few belongings we have will get soaked and ruined.

My wife, Lulu, is pregnant, and our daughter, Celine, is still very young. We need somewhere warm and dry for our family.

A new tent costs $600, which is an amount we simply cannot afford. If you are able to help us reach $600, even a small donation would mean a lot to us and help us get a new tent.
