💪 New Outdoor Gym Open in Addiscombe

A brand new outdoor gym has opened at Addiscombe Recreation Ground, giving residents a free and accessible space to stay active.

Mayor Jason Perry joined Cllr Jeet Bains and local candidate Richard Hoque to see the new equipment in action and speak with residents already making use of it.

This is continued investment in our parks and green spaces, helping make Addiscombe an even better place to live.

✅ Action Taken on Ashling Road

A short while ago, Cllr Jeet Bains highlighted serious antisocial behaviour on Ashling Road, with residents raising concerns about drug use and safety.

After meeting with local residents, police and council officers, action has now been taken. A new fence has been installed and the area secured, stopping the behaviour that was taking place.

This is what happens when residents speak up and the Council works with partners to fix problems properly.

🚧 Road Safety Improvements in Addiscombe East

Cllr Jeet Bains is at the junction of Bingham Road and Shirley Road, where works are underway to improve traffic flow and safety.

Following public consultation, a raised table is being introduced to slow traffic at the junction. Further down Bingham Road, two new zebra crossings are also planned. A small number of objections have been received and are being considered as part of the proper democratic process.

This is about listening to residents and making Croydon’s roads safer for everyone.

🌧️ Taking Action on Antisocial Behaviour in Addiscombe East

Cllr Jeet Bains has been out on Ashling Road, meeting residents, senior council staff, and local partners, even in the pouring rain, to tackle ongoing antisocial behaviour linked to a piece of private land.

Through partnership working, action is now being taken to reduce ASB in the area and improve safety for residents.

This is about listening, showing up, and working together to fix problems on the ground.

Croydon’s gritting crews were out late last night, working through the cold to keep roads and pavements safe.

I joined the team to see first-hand the effort that goes into protecting residents during winter conditions.
