Message from EHDC regarding car parks

Essential car park repairs in Alton next week.

Monday - Surface repair at the Marks and Spencer's entrance. Parking is slightly restricted and works will be completed in one day.

Tuesday and Wednesday Lady Place southern end will be closed for surface repair and relining around the public conveniences area and at the entrance just past Westbrook Alley. This work is expected to take two days.

Works will be done by Rocon who will be managing the closures. Permit holders are being notified via email and can park in any other Alton car park during those two days.

Fantastic news. Will you be tuning in? Wey Valley Radio

We're on DAB+.

From today you can hear Wey Valley Radio on digital radio right across East Hampshire - from Alton and the villages out to Farringdon, East Tisted and parts of Bordon.

That takes us from around 25,000 people who could hear us on 101.1 FM to almost 67,000.

To find us, retune your DAB radio and look for "Wey Valley" - or "W Valley", which is how it shows up on smaller displays like the one in the photo.

We're still on 101.1 FM and still online at weyvalleyradio.uk. This is simply one more way to listen - in the kitchen, in the car, at work.

East Hampshire District Council has informed us that its contractor, Norse, is carrying out deep cleans of public toilets on Wednesday 29 July. Lady Place and Turk Street public toilets will close during works and reopen once each clean is done.
