The city of York hosted one of the Royal Corps of Signals toughest annual challenges, as teams took on the iconic Race the Sun competition πŸ†

From a half-marathon through city streets to cycling, marching, navigating, and the demanding finale stretcher race, competitors pushed their limits at every stage.

The results are in for the 2026 , and what an incredible showcase of talent it has been πŸ‘

Congratulations to all of this year's winners and shortlisted photographers, whose images captured the professionalism, people and operations of the British Army around the world 🌍

A special congratulations to Sergeant Adam Wakefield, whose outstanding entry was awarded the prestigious Image of the Year title πŸ†

All winning images are currently on display at the National Army Museum, where visitors can view the exhibition until 21 June.

The servicemen and servicewomen, both Regular and Reserve, are cited for transformational leadership, exemplary professionalism, and tireless commitment.

Personnel cited have made exceptional contributions to the armed forces, UK resilience and NATO, both at home and overseas.

It was an honour to welcome His Majesty The King to the formation parade of the first ever dedicated Gurkha Artillery unit.

The new unit is a powerful reminder of the deeply valued relationship between the United Kingdom and Nepal πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§ πŸ‡³πŸ‡΅

The King reminded our troops of the responsibility that comes with establishing the standards of a new regiment, but finished his address with "Malai tapai haru prati pura bjarosa cha! [I have full faith in you!]"

Gurkhas have a long history connected to artillery and this tradition has been restored.
