This month we are proud to spotlight Rose’s Vocal School as part of our series. Founded by vocal coach Rose Mukuze in 2021, .school in Ashford was created because of Rose’s lifelong connection to music and the confidence, expression and sense of purpose it gave her growing up.

Wanting to help others find their own musical voice, Rose created a welcoming and encouraging space where students of all levels can grow in confidence through music.
From private vocal lessons and live talent shows to students earning music scholarships and performing on larger stages, Rose’s work goes beyond singing lessons. It is about helping people feel seen, supported and confident in themselves.

As part of the Black Core community, you are invited to discover your own musical voice through this special offer from Rose’s Vocal School:

We are delighted to spotlight Hythe Beauty Salon as the first business featured in our new series, created to celebrate Black- and Brown-led businesses and community allies across Kent.

is rooted in care, inclusion and community. Founded by Grace Crofton ( ) and her business partner, Danielle Kemal, the salon was created with a clear intention: to build a beauty environment in Hythe that feels welcoming, personal and accessible to everyone.

Inspired by her own experiences growing up locally, Grace recognised the need for more inclusive beauty services and education within the community.

Hythe Beauty Salon is a reflection of that vision offering not just treatments, but a space where clients feel understood, supported and cared for through a personalised approach.

At Black Core Kent, we believe that when we intentionally spotlight local businesses, we do more than share, we create visibility, connection and opportunity.
