Only a few months after planting, our new wildflower meadow is already bursting into life! 🌸🐝

This beautiful display is more than just colourful. It’s providing an important habitat for bees, butterflies and other pollinators, helping to boost biodiversity right here in Askern.

We’ll be letting the meadow bloom and set seed before carrying out its annual cut, helping it become even more spectacular in the years ahead.

A wonderful result already, and this is only the beginning! 💚

🚨 Abandoned vehicle at Askern Lake… 🚨

We weren’t expecting this one! 👀

A rather stylish pink convertible has been spotted parked up by the lake this evening. Whilst it may not require a parking permit just yet, we’re fairly sure it’s been abandoned by a driver who’s a little short on years… 🚗💖

If this belongs to your little one, it might be worth popping down to reunite them with their luxury motor before it becomes our newest lakeside attraction! 😄

On a serious note, if you’re visiting the lake with children, please remember to take toys and belongings home with you where possible to help keep our beautiful park looking its best.

No parking tickets have been issued… this time. 😉

Last night, members of Askern Town Council had the pleasure of visiting Pinders Circus during its time here in Askern and we can honestly say… it’s not to be missed! 🎪✨

From incredible circus tricks and jaw dropping acrobatics to mind blowing stunts that had the audience on the edge of their seats, it was a fantastic evening of family entertainment.
