Not an acceptable place to build as it will be right next to the A13, A283, A1306 and M25. The site is also well established with natural wildlife with some rare creatures. For an area that is already outside the WHO acceptable pollution levels and is known as the ‘Toxic Triangle’, this is yet another kick in the teeth for those of us in this area what with the PDI centre on Ship Lane and West Thurrock logistics park

It is with great sadness that we hear of the passing of our very own “Mr Aveley”, Bob Hanton.

Bob was a true village legend – one of the kindest, gentlest and friendliest people you could ever have the privilege to meet. His dedication, passion and unwavering commitment to Aveley touched so many lives, and our community is all the better for everything he did.

Thank you, Bob, for all you gave to our village over the years. Your legacy will live on, and you will never be forgotten.

Rest in peace, my friend. You will be deeply missed by us all. 😢
