DUP Scaremongering Cannot Hide Its Betrayal

Responding to comments by the DUP leader Jim Allister said:

“Unionism was united on a shared platform before the last Assembly elections. All Unionist parties sought and obtained a mandate on the basis of a solemn promise of “unalterable” opposition to the Irish Sea Border. Of course, once the election was out of the way, the DUP reverted to being Protocol implementors on the basis of the lies of the Donaldson deal.

“Now they face the prospect of going to the electorate again and having no credibility when it comes to honesty with the public, they seek to scare Unionists into voting for them.

“That old ploy is one of diminishing returns but let’s look at the facts when it comes to transfers.

“11 Unionist MLAs were elected with TUV transfer assistance. Mr Robinson would do well to remember that of those, eight were DUP.

“Secondly, in the aftermath of the election the Northern Ireland Assembly’s own independent analysis found that 45% of all identifiable transfers received by DUP candidates came from TUV, making TUV by far the DUP’s largest external source of transfers.

“Thirdly, a Unionist seat in Strangford was gifted to the Alliance Party because of the lack of transfers from the DUP to TUV.

“Finally, Andrew Mur is only Agriculture Minister because the DUP broke their word to the electorate and went back to being Protocol implementors. Moreover, the DUP had the option of taking the DAERA ministry and chose not to - so, there’s not much point in the DUP crying now about Muir!

“TUV is up for Unionist cooperation where that is possible and has proved that more than any other party. However, by their own actions through endorsing Donaldson’s lies and losing the trust of many, the DUP has not helped their transfer appeal.”

O’Neill Ill-Placed to Lecture Unionists About the Past

Jim Allister said:

“It ill-becomes Michelle O’Neill to accuse Unionists of harking back to the past just a few weeks after she lionised the murderer of young Yvonne Dunlop.

“Where was her consideration for her family when she posed for photographs beside the grave of Thomas McElwee, whose firebomb robbed a family of a wife and a mother?

“O’Neill pontificates to others about harking back to the past while presiding over a movement which celebrates and glorifies the most vile of killers.

“Save us the hypocrisy.”

Parades Commission caught out - now bow out!

Speaking outside the High Court today TUV leader Jim Allister called for Parades Commission heads to roll.

“Today High Court quashing of the Parades Commission’s determination on Drumcree is not just a landmark put down of an arrogant commission that lords it over the parading scene, but a fundamental expose of its unlawful practices and processes.

“It that dictates to others what they can and cannot do, we now find habitually ignores the law and due process in its haste to impose unwarranted conditions on parades.

“The law is clear: the Commission as a corporate body must together make determinations, but, instead, the Parades Commission was cutting corners and lacing its irregular processes with vitriolic commentary on those who disagreed with it.

“The whole Commission is culpable. Thus, the whole commission should resign. Caught out they should bow out!”

HMRC have confirmed that it has spent £718m on mostly information technology from 2022 to 2025 implementing the Irish Sea border that the DUP said was gone.

A border that both the DUP and UUP as Protocol and framework implementers are helping to harden costing us all in the pocket.

Just think what that money could have been spent on if we in Northern Ireland had got Brexit and not been left under EU Rule that is Evil Union Rule. Look at the shape of our roads, hospitals, schools etc.

The Irish Sea border must go – no more second class citizens in our own country.

🚨 MORE SPIN. MORE EXPENSE. 🛑

Stormont claims public finances are at breaking point. Yet, three Executive departments are adding new senior communications directors to the payroll.

According to recent news reports, Health and Economy have already filled their slots, while Infrastructure is appointing theirs now.

💷 The Cost? Salaries of up to £97,000 each—plus benefits.
💥 This is on top of a Stormont press operation that already cost taxpayers over £5 MILLION in under two years.

While local services collapse under pressure, taxpayers are left asking:
❓ Why are we funding highly paid spin doctors instead of fixing the services people actually rely on?

ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.
PUT PUBLIC SERVICES BEFORE PUBLICITY. 👇

UNIONISM IN CHAOS. TUV STEADY AND SURE. ⚠️👇

The DUP and UUP are dragging Unionism into total collapse. While they fight internal civil wars, the TUV stands alone: principled, stable, and unwavering.

Jim Allister KC MP has laid bare the Stormont madness:
💥 UUP in Disarray: Split down the middle by bitter infighting between Nesbitt and Burrows.
💥 DUP in Donaldson Turmoil: Trapped by a dud deal and terrified of the next revelation.

The result? They have enthroned a Sinn Féin First Minister and surrendered our Union to the Irish Sea border.

The TUV alternative is clear:
❌ No Executive while the Protocol remains.
❌ No Sinn Féin rule, we choose British rule every single day.
❌ No silence on uncontrolled immigration or minority-enforced Gaelicisation.

While the others divide, we stand firm. Let 6th May 2027 be the turning point. ⚖️

Now Councillors want a pay rise
Back in April MLA’s were awarded an inflation busting 27% pay rise that is £14,000 Pounds a year more for more failure after failure. Now Councillors are also greedily looking for more tax payer’s hard earned cash, saying the current pay is not attractive enough to attract young people.

The National Association of Councillors (NAC) only a few months ago wanted Councillors to actually go on strike to get more pay, for many if they did I don’t think you would notice.

Being a councillor should be about civic pride, helping people and bettering the local area where you live. There are many civic spirited people in our community that are working for the community, reporting issues, lobbying for improvements yet they are not paid and do not want to be paid. They might be doing more community work than some Councillors. After all being a Councillor is not intended to be a full-time role. it is meant to be done alongside someone’s employment. The current annual basic allowance for a councillor is £18,000 after being awarded a 5% pay rise in 2025., I believe that is more than sufficient for the job.
