Why should your child learn to swim with Laila on Saturday mornings at the Pool House in Barnsley?
👦 We have small class sizes with a ratio of 1 teacher to 4 children giving your child the chance to thrive. With a small number of swimmers to 1 teacher, your child will never be invisible, they will have all activities tailored to them allowing them to build their confidence and progress at their own pace but with all the benefits of a group lessons, including learning from their peers.
👩🎓 Our teachers are highly trained, not only do they all hold swimming teacher qualifications they have also undertaken our bespoke, in-house Swim Academy training. Meaning our teachers are highly skilled, confident and know how to get the best out of your child.
🥳 We know that sometimes life gets in the way and flexibility for families is really important. Your child has an invitation to a party, you want them to socialise with their school friends but you don't want them to miss their swimming lesson. That is why we offer a courtesy class system, if you have alternative plans one week, you can book a holiday and we will give you a Courtesy Class voucher, allowing your child to attend a different class that week as a one off, meaning your child never needs to miss out! The vouchers are valid for 6 months so can be used when you have a spare moment.
🛟 We don't just focus on getting from A to B, water safety and personal survival skills are woven in to every lesson, alongside our Water Safety Pyjama Weeks which we deliver 3 times a year. Teaching your child to be safe and respect the water as well as what to do should they fall in.
🏊 We don't fixate on distances! We work on building great technique from the very start. Our strokes are deconstructed so that nothing is ever ‘wrong’ because they’ve always started out right. Once that beautiful, graceful and correct technique is in place, our swimmers will then be in a fantastic position to increase the distances of their swims.
