Applications are now open for craft and charity stalls, please contact us at [email protected] or 01677-427949 so we can forward our application forms with all relevant information including costs and locations. We cannot guarantee which site you will be placed in but please do make it known on the form so we can adjust accordingly. We look forward to hearing from you!

A call for local businesses

We are currently in the process of contacting local businesses who have either previously advertised or haven't, in the towns Christmas Brochure. So please do keep an eye out on your emails as our closing date is the end of August for artwork. If you are interested in advertising in this once a year brochure, contact us at [email protected]. All information including minimal costs will be sent to you via email.

2027 CAR BOOT SALES
Applications are now open for community organisations in Bedale and the surrounding villages to apply to run one of our Saturday morning car boot sales in Bedale Park next year.
The deadline for applications is 30th November. For an application form, please follow the link below.
Car boot sales can be operated by local charities, voluntary groups, and non-profit making organisations, which are located in the area covered by the Bedale & Villages Community Forum as identified on the map - basically the part of the former Hambleton Council area west of the A1(M).

Two new benches provided by the Town Council. One for the Joint Burial Committee to replace a worn-out bench in St Gregory's Churchyard, and one at the corner of Queen Anne's Drive and Firby Road, so people can have a rest on the way to the surgery or before tackiling the Queen Anne's slope :)

Further update from national Post Office:

"We are pleased to confirm that arrangements have been made to restore Post Office services at Bedale and preparations are well advanced. Subject to the completion of final operational checks, we expect the branch to reopen shortly. We appreciate the patience shown by customers, local stakeholders and the wider community during this period and look forward to welcoming customers back as soon as possible."

News from RAF Leeming...

"RAF Leeming will soon be entering a period of exercise hosting, during which there will be additional jet and helicopter movement. The local community can expect increased flying from 20 August to 2 October - including some night flying.

We understand that Exercises can cause disturbance to the local community, and endeavour to minimise low and late flying in particular."

Post Office update...

We have spoken with senior Post Office staff this week. While for commercial reasons they are unable to go into any detail or timescale, they confirm: "we are working hard on getting the branch re-opened and hope to have some news on this in the near future"
