Today our Cllrs Milan Radulovic, Greg Marshall, Ken Woodhead & Robert Bullock joined the Mayor and the Deputy Lieutenant, Trevor Fletcher in raising the Armed Forces Flag to recognise the important sacrifices our Armed Forces make in their service to our country.

It is a chance to show our support for the men and women who make up the Armed Forces community: from currently serving personnel to Service families, to veterans and cadets.

The former Nottinghamshire policing boss who was convicted for several speeding offences has been blocked from standing as a Reform UK candidate.

Caroline Henry, the former Conservative police and crime commissioner for Nottinghamshire, recently became a member of Reform alongside her husband, the former Conservative MP for Broxtowe.

Caroline and Darren Henry then applied to become parliamentary candidates for Reform, but were blocked from doing so.

Reform has not specifically said why the pair were blocked from standing as candidates, but a spokesperson for the party - which has welcomed former Conservative MPs such as Lee Anderson and Robert Jenrick into its ranks - said: "Reform UK is not a dumping ground for failed Tory MPs."

We have plenty of jobs to do and some Mustard leaves and radishes ready to pick .
