We are recruiting a full-time Band 3 Cook / Assistant Head Chef for the catering department at Daisy Hill Hospital, Newry BT35 8GE. If you love good food and enjoy leading a kitchen team, this is a great opportunity to cook for patients, staff and visitors.

💷 £12.75 per hour
🕘 Full-time

You will lead the kitchen team across production, ready-to-eat and bakery areas, preparing food to agreed recipes and standards. You will follow HACCP procedures, cater for special diets and allergens, manage stock and orders, and help with staff training.

You will need ONE of the following:
• NVQ Level 3 in Food Preparation & Cooking (or equivalent), OR
• NVQ Level 2 in Food Preparation & Cooking (or equivalent) plus 1 year's experience as a cook, OR
• 3 years' experience as a cook

You will also need:
• Level 2 Award in Food Safety (or equivalent)
• Willingness to complete the Level 3 Intermediate Food Hygiene qualification
• Good teamwork, communication and planning skills

We are recruiting a Temporary Catering Supervisor at Daisy Hill Hospital, Newry BT35 8GE. If you are organised, proactive and enjoy leading a team, this is a great opportunity to oversee daily food service in a busy hospital.

💷 £12.75 per hour
🕘 Temporary, full-time – Monday to Friday, 8am – 4pm

You will lead the catering team across patient meal services, dining rooms and coffee bars, making sure food safety, quality, portion control and hygiene are kept to a high standard. You will also help with rotas, staff training and day-to-day team leadership.

You will need:
• At least 2 years' experience in a customer- or patient-facing role in healthcare or hospitality
• A full UK driving licence with access to a car (or equivalent Trust-approved transport)
• Strong communication and organisational skills, and the ability to stay calm under pressure
• Willingness to complete training, including the Level 2 Award in Food Safety in Catering

We are recruiting full-time Catering Assistants to join a friendly catering team in Newry: two in the dish wash area and one in the dining room.

💷 £12.71 per hour
🕘 Dish Wash Area (2 posts): 32.5 hours per week · shifts 7:30am–2:30pm and 1:00pm–8:00pm
🕘 Dining Room (1 post): shifts 7:30am–3:30pm and 10:30am–6:30pm
Both roles include occasional weekend working.

In the dish wash area, you will clean dishes, crockery, cutlery and kitchen equipment and keep the area clean, organised and hygienic. In the dining room, you will support the day-to-day running of the room, help with food and drink service and give customers a friendly, professional service. In both roles you will follow food hygiene and health and safety procedures as part of the wider catering team.

You will need:
• To be reliable, hardworking and good at working as part of a team in a busy environment
• To be able to commit to the required hours and shifts
• Catering experience is preferred (1 year), but training will be provided where required

🕒 25 hours per week
📅 Monday–Friday, 3pm–8pm
🔄 One weekend in six once trained, with time off the following week
📆 Planned assignment: 29 October 2026–28 February 2027

The role focuses on accurate data entry, checking information and handling telephone queries.

Essential: Four GCSEs at A–C including English Language, or equivalent/higher qualification, OR one year’s clerical/admin experience. Experience using at least one Microsoft Office product or equivalent is also required.

🔧 You'll be working on:
✅ Vehicle adaptations & mobility equipment

✅ Auto-electrical fault finding & testing
✅ Basic diagnostics
✅ Reading wiring diagrams
✅ Using hand, power & electrical testing tools

We're looking for:
🔹 Previous auto-electrical / vehicle wiring experience
