The quality of management and leadership affects the quality of work with families. Reform has to target the whole organisation- Professor Eileen Munro, July 2016

Are you interested in taking part in a practice and leadership seminar with Eileen Munro and Jacky Tiotto? The London Borough of Bexley is hosting the event on 22 September 2016 at Bexley Civic Offices.
Drawing on the lessons from implementing Signs of Safety as the organisational framework, Eileen and Jacky will discuss what is going well, what is worrying them and what needs to change. While there are worrying factors in the wider economic and political context, this is a major opportunity for improving Children’s Social Care and transforming the quality of help children and young people receive.

The seminar will be an interactive Chatham House session for first and second line managers and for social workers who may be considering a first step into senior practice.
If you are interested, please register by e mailing your details to P&[email protected] by no later than 7th September.

Places are limited and by personal invitation. We will contact you directly via email if you are successful in securing a place at the seminar.

We're family focussed. It's best for children to be brought up in their family environment where this is possible, considering their safety and wellbeing as paramount.

Our Practice will focus on involving and supporting the entire family where possible, including fathers and/or extended family to address issues of abuse or neglect.

The term ‘family’ is used in the broader context of immediate family, extended family and connected people. Visit http://bit.ly/1zAcc for more information on our Practice Model.

We are serious about getting ‘back to basics’, working with core principles that always put the child first. Our practice model is a framework that explicitly outlines how staff members are expected to work towards delivering that goal. It is at the heart of how we aim to achieve improved outcomes f…
