🎶 Youth Proms 2026 🎶

What a fantastic evening at Birmingham Symphony Hall! Our talented KESH Band performed three video game-themed pieces as part of Youth Proms 2026, showcasing incredible skill, confidence and teamwork on one of the UK's most prestigious stages.

A special highlight was Tommy's outstanding DJ set. Invited to perform at all three Youth Proms evenings, this is a remarkable achievement and a testament to his talent and dedication.

Congratulations to all our performers, and thank you to the families and friends who supported them. You represented KESH brilliantly and made us all incredibly proud. 👏✨

Interested in learning an instrument? Applications for instrumental lessons for 2026 are now open – you could be performing on the Symphony Hall stage next year! 🎵

Due to ongoing high temperatures, pupils may wear PE kit if they wish tomorrow (10/7). Please ensure you send your child with a reusable water bottle which they can refill at school.

On Tuesday 7th July, Sheldon Sounds visited Aran Court Care Home to perform for residents, accompanied by Miss Graham, Miss Dewstow and Mr Jennings. Residents thoroughly enjoyed the energy, enthusiasm and talent displayed by our performers, including wonderful solo performances from Cameron, Eglah and Cydney. As a thank you, the residents kindly baked delicious chocolate cakes for the group, which were greatly appreciated by everyone involved.
Once again, Sheldon Sounds made us incredibly proud. Their outstanding performance was warmly received by residents and staff alike, and we are delighted to have been invited back for future performances. Well done to all involved for representing KESH so positively within our local community.

Dear Parents and Carers,

We are aware that the current hot weather may make daily routines more challenging. However, we would like to remind all families that school remains open and children are expected to attend as normal unless they are unwell.

To help keep pupils comfortable and safe during the warmer temperatures, we are taking a number of precautions throughout the school day, including providing regular opportunities for drinking water, encouraging children to stay in shaded areas where possible, and adapting our uniform expectations.

In addition, if classrooms do get too warm staff know to move into other areas of the school where the temperatures are lower. We are fortunate to have a large air conditioned dining area and many individual rooms with air conditioning.

Please help your child by ensuring they:

• Bring a filled water bottle to school each day.
• Apply sunscreen before coming to school.
• Encourage them to attend without their blazer and ties.

If your child has any medical needs that may be affected by the heat, please contact the school office so that appropriate arrangements can be considered.
Thank you for your continued support and cooperation. We look forward to welcoming all children to school each day.

Kind regards,

08/07/2026

Due to the weather forecast students do not have to wear ties or blazers for the rest of this week (6th July onwards)

06/07/2026

Dear Parents and Carers. Due to the predicted warm weather tomorrow, students will NOT need to wear their blazers for the day, they should however wear the rest of their school uniform as normal. Please ensure that your child brings a refillable water bottle to school each day. Thank you for your continued support. Mr Billyeald, Head of School, KESH Academy.
