One week left to have your say about your community.

The future of your community matters, and your views can help shape how Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service works over the next five years.

We’ve already listened to your views. Now, tell us what you think about the risks we’ve identified and our plans to prevent and respond to them.

It takes around 5 minutes.

Have your say: www.smartsurvey.co.uk/s/LFRScrmp2

The consultation closes at 5pm on Friday 9 October.

Following the fire in Highercroft over the weekend, we’re asking parents and carers to talk to children about the dangers of entering derelict buildings.

They may look like places to explore, but floors and stairs can be unsafe, exits may be blocked, and a fire can quickly fill a building with smoke. Someone inside could become trapped or seriously hurt.

Please make sure children know to stay out and keep well clear.

If you see a fire or believe someone is in danger inside a building, move to safety and call 999.
Do not go in yourself.

What matters most to you when it comes to keeping your community safe?

Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service does much more than respond to fires. We help prevent emergencies, protect people and businesses, and prepare for a wide range of risks across Lancashire.

Our Community Risk Management Plan (CRMP) sets out how we’ll help keep Lancashire safer over the next five years.

Earlier this year, we asked what matters most to our communities, and your feedback helped shape our draft plan.

Now, we want to hear what you think about the risks we’ve identified and how we plan to prevent and respond to them.

Have your say: www.smartsurvey.co.uk/s/LFRScrmp2

The survey takes around 5 minutes to complete and closes at 5pm on Friday 9 October 2026.

Got a dirty car?

With the bank holiday weekend just around the corner, why not give your car a treat and support two great causes at the same time?

Join us at Blackburn Fire Station on Saturday 29th August, from 1pm to 4pm, for a charity car wash.

All money raised will go to Fire Fighters Charity and FireSport UK, helping to support the fire service community.

We would love to see you there 🚒

If your results weren't quite what you expected, don't worry. There are still plenty of options and opportunities available.

Our next programme starts on 14/09/2026 at Blackburn Fire Station.

Our Community Risk Management Plan (CRMP) outlines how we'll help keep Lancashire safer over the next five years.

Following feedback from our communities, partners and employees earlier this year, we've developed our draft plan and are now launching the second phase of our consultation.

We're asking for your views on the community risks we've identified and how we plan to prevent and respond to them.

Take part in the survey here: www.smartsurvey.co.uk/s/LFRScrmp2

Wildfires can leave lasting damage that remains long after the flames have been extinguished, and the impact is not always visible.

If you're planning to visit Darwen Moor over the next couple of weeks, please stick to public footpaths and bridleways and avoid venturing onto open access land. This will help the damaged ground and plant life recover.

With warm, dry conditions expected to continue, please help protect Lancashire’s countryside by packing a picnic instead of using a BBQ, never discarding ci******es and taking all litter home with you.

Thank you for helping us protect this special landscape while it recovers, let's look after Lancashire together 🌿
