MK Council No 1 for recycling.
"Milton Keynes has shot to the top of national recycling stakes to be named the country’s highest performing city for collecting recyclable waste.
Since the council introduced the new red and blue wheelie bin system in September 2023, the recycling figures have risen dramatically.

Last year, an impressive 63.2% of the city’s household waste was recycled, reused or composted – an achievement that caused MK to rise 76 places in the nation’s official recycling chart – from number 83 to number 7.

This year, Milton Keynes has emerged as the top city in the chart, and second highest overall".

Makes all those bins we put out each week worthwhile.

Milton Keynes has shot to the top of national recycling stakes to be named the country’s highest performing city for collecting recyclable waste.

Many residents will have recently received info about Milton Keynes City Council’s West Bletchley Resident Parking Options survey, which proposes solutions for tackling problem parking in streets near the train station.

A feedback form is available online at https://tinyurl.com/23jt9j8b, or in paper version at the Frank Moran Centre on Melrose Avenue, as well as at the Council offices on Whaddon Way.

This is your chance to influence how the issue is addressed… or not, if that’s your opinion! The survey closes on Sunday 5 April.

Today, on the anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau, we mark Holocaust Remembrance Day. We remember the six million Jewish men, women and children who were murdered by the N***s, and reaffirm our commitment to speaking out against all forms of antisemitism across the world.

We will remember their lives and their stories. Never forget.
