A huge thank you was given to St Meubred’s Church, Cardinham, Lanivet historic church, St Stephen’s Church, Nanstallon, and St Petroc’s Church, Bodmin, for their fantastic support of the Beacon Beast Marathon – The Bodmin Way.

These historic churches provided vital aid stations along the route, with the finish line and refreshments hosted at St Petroc’s.

Race Director Sharon Hambley was delighted to thank and present each church with a cheque at a celebration event held at The Pad yesterday.

Other groups that supported the race in April also received thanks and a cheque. This is a fine example of community spirit at its best! 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️👏

Join Bodmin Way Community Choir for a special social and fundraising evening on Saturday 27 June! Open to everyone.

🕖 7:00 PM – Strawberries & cream with songs from the choir
🌙 8:00 PM – Strawberry Moon Walk through Priory Park and wooded area towards Lanhydrock (4-mile round-trip)
🐶 Dogs on leads welcome

The Strawberry Moon 2026 — the first full moon of summer — takes its name from Native American traditions marking the wild strawberry harvest season. This year’s moon is also a “micromoon”, appearing slightly smaller and dimmer as it is farther from Earth.

Come along for music, community, and a magical summer evening under the moonlight!

Bodmin Way Community Choir
We had a fantastic time at our first Summer Singing session and loved welcoming some new faces! 🎶☀️

We'll be meeting every Wednesday throughout June and July, from 5pm to 6pm, at St Petroc's Parish Centre (opposite the church), enjoying a wonderful selection of summer songs and looking forward to some exciting performance opportunities.

Whether you're a regular singer or just fancy giving it a try, everyone is welcome. We'd love to see you there!
