If you live permanently in a park home, you may be eligible for financial support through the Park Homes Warm Home Discount Scheme.

The scheme helps eligible residents with their energy costs and is administered by Charis Grants. Applications are expected to reopen this month.

If you're struggling to keep warm at home because your heating system is broken or not working properly, we might be able to help. Funding is available to repair or replace your heating system if you meet the eligibility criteria.

You may qualify if you …

• own your home
• receive means tested benefits or have a low household income
• have a health condition

Scam warning - we’ve received reports of calls claiming to be from our housing team, relating to repairs. The caller is vague about the issue and asks random questions.

These calls are not from Arun District Council.

We will not make unsolicited calls asking for personal details without clear identification and if we contact you about your housing, we will provide specific and verifiable information.

If you receive a suspicious call on any matter, stating they are from Arun District Council:

• do not share personal or financial information
• end the call
• report it to us so we can investigate

Government pauses Local Government Reorganisation programme – statement from The Leader of Arun District Council.

The government has confirmed that it is pausing its proposals for Local Government Reorganisation in West Sussex while it carries out a wider review of the programme. No timeline has been given to local authorities as to when the review is to be carried out or when it will be concluded

West Sussex councils react to the latest development

The diversion for the road closure involves sending traffic through Hunston and to the Whyke Hill A27 roundabout - this is expected to cause delays that may impact Pagham residents.

🚧 Important travel information for Chichester residents and visitors 🚧
Gas network operator SGN will soon begin essential gas mains replacement works on Stockbridge Road, Chichester.
The work is due to start on Saturday 10 October and last for 7 weeks.
It will require the road being closed between its junctions with the A27 and Grosvenor Road for safety reasons.
Access for residents, businesses, pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained where possible, but bus services will be affected.
Please plan ahead and check with your bus operator before travelling.
We’ve been working with SGN to support with planning on the project and with updating communities.
While the engineer works will cause temporary disruption, they are necessary to help provide a safe, resilient and reliable gas supply for local homes and businesses.

We're having some essential maintenance work done at our 2 play areas this week. Hook Lane Play Area will be closed on 27th August 2026, and the Village Hall Play Area will be closed on 27th August 2026 and 28th August 2026 to allow the work to be completed safely. We apologise that this work is taking place during the school holidays and thank you for your understanding.
