Staff took the young residents at Graham House to the local circus last week, they had so much fun!

Seeing their faces, especially those who have never been to the circus before, was worth every moment! 🥰

At Roseberry they value the participation of their residents in the reviewing of their service risk assessments.

In May each year they ask for residents to be involved in the reviewing of the risk assessments alongside staff members.

This takes place over several days, with the discussion around why the risk assessment is in place, what measures we have in place to reduce, manage or remove risks, and if any additional measures could be considered.

This is always a really good co-production activity, as it allows for residents to understand why they have what they have in place and what they are doing to prevent or reduce risks and if there are any risks from a residents perspective they may not have considered allowing for involvement in the control measures and considerations.

Last month Roseberry had three residents volunteer to do this, feedback from residents included;

"Its good we are involved as can share our ideas"
"I feel safer because we have these in place"
"I know why certain checks are done now, and will be more aware if I spot any hazards."
"I feel valued for being involved."

They have provided a thankyou letter for those who took part, along with a planned thankyou lunch 😀

At Roseberry they always take the opportunity to celebrate an event and raise awareness.

Eid is one of those times where they get to enjoy with the residents who celebrate Eid, by decorating their talent suite, providing food and doing an awareness quiz on Eid.

They enjoy having a diverse group of residents and being part of a diverse community, where they can come together and celebrate events and be part of a community.

One residents has said "I feel very included at the service and appreciate that Roseberry recognise my faith and take time to do what so" 😀
