Severe Weather Emergency Protocol (SWEP) Activated ❄️🌧️

Due to the current weather conditions, the Street Outreach Severe Weather Emergency Protocol (SWEP) has been activated across Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole.

✅ The protocol will run for the next 3 nights and will be reviewed on Saturday 27 December.

🏠 SWEP helps protect and provide for vulnerable people sleeping rough during severe weather. It is activated when there is a real risk of loss of life because of weather conditions.

If you are concerned about someone sleeping rough:

The Homelessness Partnership, including the Council and charity St Mungo's, will offer shelter to all people sleeping rough in Bournemouth, Christchurch or Poole by providing emergency accommodation.

"I am forever grateful to Michael House and the staff for taking me and my dog off the streets when nobody else would. Having a hostel who loves dogs and understands someone's love for dogs as much as I do made me feel more than welcome. Allowing me to completely relax in the environment knowing I wouldn't be made homeless once again and my dog could relax and treat it as her home awell. After the staff helping me with my own personal needs and understanding how much my dog meant to me I knew they would treat her as I would want to be treated, which allows the resident to focus on themselves and rebuild their lives." to 🔑

Providing me with a room which allowed me to be able to still stay with my dog; and during my time here I've been supported and helped out in many ways from providing support to myself, as well as support and care in different forms for my dog.
