Next week is national and as part of this year's celebrations, some of our fabulous volunteers will be helping to raise awareness of the 'In-touch' self-check-in screens that we have in some of our key outpatient reception areas. So, if you've been referred to hospital and have received an outpatients appointment letter, you can self check-in on arrival.

Look out for staff members and volunteers at events being organised at receptions at Poole Hospital on Monday 1 June and at the Royal Bournemouth Hospital on Tuesday 2 June. Volunteers helping patients to use the screens, aims to increase usage on the day and in the future.

They'll also gather feedback on why some patients do not use the screens or why some fail to complete the self-check-in process. The volunteers' support will help to speed up the reception process during busy times and improve patient confidence in using the kiosks.

Please note: We are not running a mole check event on 30 May.

This is with a private dermatology business in Christchurch. Please do not attend our Dermatology Resource Unit at Christchurch Hospital as we will be unable to offer appointments.

Thank you for your understanding βš πŸ’™

Here is your reminder to head to the shade for the hottest part of the day β˜€οΈ

Even early in the season, hot days can catch us off guard and that’s when heat-related illnesses are more likely to happen. Stay cool and hydrated, and please look out for those who may find it difficult to keep themselves cool.

The sunshine has arrived! β˜€οΈ

It's important to remember that with hot weather, comes risk. Check weather forecasts and if you’re spending time outdoors remember to travel with bottled water. Check in on older friends, family and neighbours, particularly those who live alone, who may struggle to keep themselves cool and hydrated during the hot weather.
