Many LGBTQ+ young people have experienced feeling judged, misunderstood or excluded. 🫂

Royal recognition for a fantastic foster carer👑🏰

We’re so proud of BCP foster carer Maxine, who recently joined carers from across the UK at a special reception at Windsor Castle, where she was personally thanked by King Charles for her vital work.

Since 2011, Maxine has gone above and beyond; creating a loving home, supporting young people to be their best selves, and staying in touch long after they leave her care. Whether it's a note in a lunchbox or letters during school trips, Maxine ensures every child feels loved and supported. 📝

When Maxine shared she still keeps in touch with the children she’s cared for, King Charles said:
💬 “That is so lovely. That’s what we need, more people that can keep this job going"

Thank you, Maxine, for your years of dedication and for the incredible difference you’ve made to our children and young people. 🩷
