Bridlington South Ward Members celebrate a new zebra crossing on a busy school crossing road. After losing their Crossing Attendant a few years ago the Ward Members, Cllrs Arrand (Ind), Norman (Green) and Walker (Green) have been wanting a safer way for children and parents alike to cross the busy Kingsgate in order to reach Hilderthorpe School which is just a stones throw away. This has finally come to fruition and the crossing opened at the end of February. Cllr Norman said "This is a great development and just in the right place where the majority of people cross, it will make the travel to and from school safer and we thank ERYC for installing it." Cllr Walker said, "We hope that this installation will encourage parents to drop their children off further from the school gates and make that area safer also. It can only be an asset to the community."

Andy Walker , Tim Norman and Myself were the Yorkshire Party Councillors for Bridlington South ( on both the Town Council and ERYC ).
We came to the conclusion that the Yorkshire Party had run its course and decided to leave the Party.

On reflection I feel that as a Bridlington South Councillor I will now sit as an INDEPENDENT on both Councils, which will help me better serve the residents of my ward.

I can assure you I will still work hard for the Residents of Bridlington South alongside Andy and Tim and do all I can to solve any issues that arise.
