WEIRD MAIL UPDATE!

A week or so ago I was about to post details of a weird mail I had sent, but found that my Goldengiving fundraising page was no longer working. I got in touch with them and received the following reply:

"Dear Rosie,
Due to an issue with an 'upgrade' on Monday, we have had to redirect supporters to our new platform, as www.peoplesfundraising.com. Our hosting partner is working to reverse the upgrade, but we do not yet know a time it will be live again.
We recommend you setup on the new platform. We can help you with setting up your pages. The Bridges to Belarus is now on PF.
Your page stats are '£320.00 raised of £250.00 target by 14 supporters'.
You current donations will be transferred to your charity.
We apologise for the issue.

So, that's nice isn't it? Poor, sad, Golden Giving team. 😅 Since I can definitely not be bothered to set up a new fundraising page, I think we can call fundraising for AMOWM officially CLOSED at £320! This has far outstripped my original goal of £250, and I'm so grateful, as will be Bridges To Belarus. Things in that part of the world have changed substantially since I started my funny little challenge, and the communities they support are sadly likely to see an increase in poverty and all of its associated ills. Your donations are so appreciated, will be used carefully and thoughtfully for the relief of suffering, and will change lives. If anyone is thinking "oh, I was planning to donate to that", please let me know and we can arrange for you to donate to B2B directly!

This seems a good time to update more generally on AMOWM. As you know, the goal was to send out 28 weird mails in February! Did I do that? NO! I managed 21. Good news though we have since had the month of March! When I managed 3. I finished off in April though right? Also NO, I did one more. I have 3 still to go and I WILL send them but life has been demanding and then I had covid and I don't think there's any point in being mad at myself over this. Word to the wise, this kind of thing takes A LOT OF TIME to do!

I also have many weird mails which have now been received but which I have not yet posted pictures of...This will resume imminently!
