Fortfield Road will be closed for road repairs from Monday the 7th to Friday the 11th of September.

This is necessary work, and we look forward to seeing fewer potholes down the road once the works are complete. We are seeing more road works due to the extra £1M of funding for road repairs secured by your Lib Dem councillors - this should help reduce the number of potholes.

However, this does mean that diversions will be in place, and there will likely be no bus service for Fortfield Road or Wharnecliffe Gardens.

Local residents should have received a letter about access arrangements.

Please see below the diversion route provided by First Bus for their 45 service, which will use New Fosseway Road, Wells Road, and Ridgeway Lane during the closure times.

The 515 service will also be affected.

The company said it was the first hosepipe ban in the Bristol Water area caused by drought since 1975 ➡ bbc.in/4wN5JeU

It supplies water in Bristol, South Gloucestershire, North Somerset and parts of the Bath and North East Somerset and Somerset council areas.
Wessex Water and South West Water - the other companies supplying homes and businesses in Somerset - have already introduced hosepipe bans.

Your councillors - Andrew, Sarah and Tim - have been on the case getting fly tipping removed from our community. It is a blight and we are working with the council to improve their response, bring more prosecutions and reduce this filthy business. If you see a fly-tip which is not removed after a week of reporting in our area then let us know. Report fly tips using FixMyStreet. If you see someone fly tipping ensure you let the council know with details so we can stop them from doing it again. Don’t use unregistered waste removal companies. We are making it a priority to Clear Up Bristol.

Every Thursday in the summer holiday you and your kids can spend the whole afternoon at church!
We'll feed them, give them crafts to do, provide space for games and play. Come for the whole afternoon or drop in to the bits that suit you.

Bin Update

Thank you to everyone who reported missed collections last Friday. We believe that most have now been collected.

If your black waste bin has still not been collected, please either comment below with your road (if the whole road has been missed) or send an email to [email protected] if it is just your bin that has been missed.

We are aware that many green bins have also been missed and will be asking Bristol Waste what the plan is for collecting these as soon as the black bin collections have been completed.

I will send the report to officers today at 4pm.
