Some wonderful independent on the newly pedestrianised King St could really do with your support to navigate these troubled times please support and share...thanks for all your support 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏

🔹 Local authorities have underspent by £1.7bn on grants and funding.

🖐️ We're backing the #RaiseTheBar campaign which calls on the Government to act now and redirect this surplus to the Retail Hospitality and Leisure Grant and increase the rateable value threshold for eligibility from £51,000 to £150,000.

💙 Doing this will save jobs, reduce unemployment, protect skills and help restart the hospitality and tourism sectors!

What a beautiful evening...wouldn't it be amazing to have western King St properly set up for socially distanced alfresco service by the end of lock down...what say you?

King Street Bristol @ its best

Marvin Rees, Mayor of BristolBristol City Centre BID with COVID19 and current social distancing measures the independent businesses on this historic street need King St pedestrianised alongside the Old Town project...this would literally allow our businesses to survive post lock-down. This would also allow room for customers to visit in a safe and managed environment...now is the time!!!

15/02/2020

Would you like King St more if there were better outdoor facilities? Let us know your thoughts?

King Street has the potential to become the pedestrianised jewel of the southwest. If local business owners were allowed to put basic facilities such as benches, tables, chairs out for the public to use this would most definitely be a step in the right direction. Lets keep liking and sharing to get enough support together to convince Marvin this is in the public interest.

18/08/2016

Please keep liking and sharing folks lets make this great historic street a safer and better environment for all members of the public who frequent this bustling area.

16/07/2016

Summer is here again folks and that means King Street will become a bustling hive of activity with large crowds of people and families who frequently visit this bustling, rejuvenated area, to eat, relax and unwind from the stresses of their work week. At the minute during busy periods the best option for them is to stand or sit on a functional road or in the sidewalk. Is there any appetite for pedestrianisation of the street on weekends and mid-week evenings to allow local business the opportunity to furnish the street with proper facilities for their patrons. Let us know your thoughts and if there is enough support we can take it to Marvin to see if he can help us make it a reality. People Power!!!
