HAUNTED HOUSE 🏚👻🎃
I saw this idea on a Facebook group the other week and I thought it was amazing! I don’t remember who first posted it so I’m sorry but I definitely can’t take the credit for the idea!
I love a craft that can then be used for play and this totally fits that criteria!

OCEAN PLAY 🐢🐙🐳🦈🦭🐬
Water play is always a big hit in our house so today we added a few resources from our collection, including some sand and stones from the garden along with our new jumbo ocean animals.
They loved creating their own small world under the sea environment and adding their own little details.

RAINBOW RICE🌈
Today we had an actual play date in the house 😱 It felt like so long since we have done anything like this so it was lovely to watch the kids play and have a long overdue catch up!

RAINBOW SPRINKLES CLOUD DOUGH 🌈☁️
Thank you to Inspire My Play for this lovely idea for a simple cloud dough recipe.
We added some silicone cake cases, cutters, bowls and scoops along with letters and numbers for extra learning opportunities.

5 Little Ducks 🦆
Today’s tray is 5 Little Ducks themed, seeing as the weather is perfect for ducks! ☔️
Our little Ducks are from Homebargains and we just used some clear pebbles, water with a tiny bit of blue food colouring and some fish tank fake plants from Amazon.co.uk to theme the tray (which is from Inspire My Play)

Happy Bank Holiday Monday!
We were really hoping to have a family day out today but the typical British weather has other ideas 🙈 so we are bringing the farm to us instead!

🦖DINOSAUR RESCUE 🦕
This is such a simple activity but does require some forward planning!
Use an ice cube tray and fill with some small toys and water, pop them in the freezer for a few hours at least, add some containers of water and pipettes (if you don’t have pipettes, just some small jugs will do) to pour the water over the ice cubes and watch them melt!
Great for:
✅ Hand eye coordination
✅ Fine motor skills
✅ Introducing new language
✅ Concentration
✅ Perseverance

SCREEN FREE SATURDAY ☀️
Today we are *attempting* a screen free day, particularly for our 6 year old who seems to be addicted to Netflix and YouTube 🙈
I’ve been feeling a little guilty about how much time she spends watching tv. So this morning we all hopped on our bikes 🚲 and headed out for a family bike ride, we packed a lunch 🥙 and had a picnic in the neighbouring village and then made our way home.
And this afternoon we are trying to keep them outside with the mud kitchen, sand tray and some Lego in our Inspire My Play PlayTRAY.
Later we will be having a BBQ to make the most of the lovely weather ☀️Hope you’re all having a lovely Saturday, feel free to share your Saturday play ideas with us in the comments ⬇️

Today we were invited to a play date with one of our lovely friends who knows how much Oscar loves his diggers ❤️

DIGGERS 🦺🚧🚜

Yesterday we took our two to Diggerland in Devon and they had an absolute blast!!
My two year old is OBSESSED with diggers and tractors so he was in his element!
This little setup was from a while back but we will definitely be recreating this after yesterday’s trip 🚜

DUCK POND PLAY TRAY 🦆🦢🌳
Yesterday we visited one of our favourite places WWT Slimbridge Wetland Centre with some friends and it was so lovely to get out and about again!
Today the kids are both still talking about their trip yesterday so today I treated them to a little duck pond play tray using our wooden ducks and some water beads we got from Amazon.co.uk
They loved a bit of imaginative play this morning and they loved reliving some of the things they saw yesterday 🦢🦆
