Mr. Jignesh Patel who runs Anerley Post Office is seeking to open a community banking hub right here in Anerley. However, the application process to be approved is extremely competitive.
That is why as your local Councillors, we have set up this petition to help him show the strength of community support and demand for this service locally π
https://survey.labour.org.uk/anerleybankinghub
Over recent years, weβve all seen banks disappearing from high streets across the country. For many, thatβs made everyday banking harder.
This impacts many residents locally - particularly older people, those less confident online, the digitally excluded, as well as anyone who values being able to speak to someone in person about their finances - as well local businesses who still rely on cash day-to-day.
If Mr Patel's application is successful, this would provide a local, shared banking space for major high street banks, provide a secure counter for cash withdrawals and deposits, as well as in-person support for more complex needs like mortgages, loans and pensions
So please add your name to our petition to help show the strength of community demand for these services and help bring a community banking hub to Crystal Palace and Anerley.
Thank you for your support π
