The Green Party is not some central “third option” in these local elections; they aren’t just another team who should be given a shot.
🌍 The Green Party is currently the most left wing presence in mainstream British politics. Until just a few weeks ago, their official manifesto called for “a world without borders” and argued that migration for them wasn’t “a criminal offence under any circumstance”. Convenient to see it removed just before an election cycle…
🏠 But they oppose over development, right? Well sure, unless you’re covering a field with solar panels or unpredictable wind turbines. Not to mention their commitment to social housing which begs the question: where exactly are they going to build these “150,000” new social homes every year? The idea they wouldn’t need green belt or countryside land is a pipe dream, and they know it.
💴 they want to increase universal credit and “legacy benefits” by £40 per week, increase the number of public sector staff exponentially “, continue the disastrous policy of lifting the 2 child benefit cap (where there are much better options available) and other exponential spending commitments as though it isn’t already farcical that a household has to bring in £71,000 per year just to match three child benefits income in this country.
🧍♂️ They tell us simultaneously that business and billionaires will pay for it but also that big business and billionaires are too powerful for governments to control.
🤔 They tell us they want to reduce NHS waiting times but talk about open borders migration
🤔 They tell us they want bills to go down but are talking about massive carbon taxes, punitive net zero policy and enormous inflationary spending.
🤔 They tell us billionaires and big business will pay for it all whilst knowing they’re best positioned to avoid these taxes
🤔They tell us they are for the working man when they want to introduce record welfare spending.
The Greens are currently running a populist campaign, saying anything to anyone for votes.
The reality is the Green Party shouldn’t be judged on the shiny fun things they say, but on the ideology that motivates them which is at its core a hard left ideology of big state government control.
The ideology motivating me is family, country, community and culture. If that’s your bag, then vote for strength on 7th May 💪🏻🇬🇧🗳️
