Brilliant couple of hours this afternoon at Burntwood Library. Children on this years Summer Reading Challenge have been decorating wooden musical instruments we’ve done whistles, handbells and today maracas 🪇

📚🎶 The Read to the Beat Summer Reading Challenge continues at Burntwood Library this summer!

On Wednesday, children had great fun decorating handbells as part of the Summer Reading Challenge, getting creative and embracing this year's music-themed activities.

There's still time to join the Reading Challenge if your children would like to take part. Visit your local Staffordshire library to sign up and start your reading adventure today! 📖🌟

This year’s theme is Read to the Beat, and young readers across are getting stuck into books, audiobooks and eBooks — all while collecting rewards along the way 🎧

Our libraries are also packed with events and activities, giving families even more reasons to pop in this summer.

There’s still time to join in, and it’s completely free.
