Closure of Footpath 14 between Beacon Road and Tafflands on Tuesday 25th August.

Tree surgeons will be working to complete the removal of the large dead tree alongside the footpath from the neighbouring garden at the Beacon Road end of the footpath. For safety reasons it is essential that the footpath is closed whilst this work is completed.

Notices have been posted at either end of the footpath advising of this closure and as soon as the tree is removed the footpath will reopen to walkers.

Thank you for your understanding and patience whilst this work is done.

Latest August Update from the Environment Agency
Dear Rolleston Parish Council,

I am pleased to share that we have now secured funding to undertake property suitability surveys for those residents who have registered an interest in the proposed Property Flood Resilience (PFR) scheme. We expect these surveys to take place over the next couple of months, and the relevant residents have now been contacted.

The surveys will be carried out by our trusted consultants and will assess each property to determine what PFR measures, if any, may be appropriate. The findings will provide the technical information needed to develop the next stage of the project and complete the Full Business Case.

While the surveys do not guarantee that PFR measures will be installed at every property, they represent a significant milestone in progressing the scheme. Subject to the survey findings and the availability of future government funding, we remain optimistic that we will be able to progress delivery in the next financial year.
Kind regards, Tom Ellis
