I am intending to do some experimental archaeology reproducing described 'adventure' training at Knoydart and Achnacarry. I am currently shopping around for replica 37 or 40 pattern battle dress made from the correct wool serge. This is crucial to reproduce the performance of the original garments, particularly in the cold and wet conditions of the Scottish Highlands!

Soldier of Fortune appear to sell the correct jacket and trouserss made by the respected Kay Canvas who use the period correct fabric.
