Hello, I thought it was probably time I properly reintroduced myself 🌙
I’m Briony — florist, owner and the person behind The Floral Studio by Briony.
Flowers have been part of my life for over twenty years now. I started working as a florist at 18 and over the years have been lucky enough to learn through both formal training and hands-on experience, from running my own flower shop between 2011–2018 to working alongside other wonderful florists including Bramble and Wild in Frome.
My style has gradually evolved into something much more natural, textural and romantic, with a strong focus on seasonality and sustainable, foam-free floristry wherever possible. I’m always drawn to flowers with movement, character and unusual textures — the sort that feel as though they’ve just been gathered from a beautiful old garden.
Opening The Floral Studio feels very special to me because it marks a return not only to floristry, but to a building that has quietly been part of my story for a long time. Restoring the space over the past few months has truly been a labour of love and I can’t wait to finally welcome you inside.
Outside of flowers, I’m happiest wandering around garden centres, reading detective thrillers, rewatching 90s films, drinking a London Fog, or spending time with my two dogs, Olive and Dinah.
My favourite flowers change constantly, but roses, orchids and ranunculus will always have my heart.
