We are delighted to announce that Veolia has been awarded the joint recycling and waste collection contract for Elmbridge, Mole Valley, Surrey Heath and Woking. Veolia will also provide street cleaning services in three of the areas – Elmbridge, Mole Valley and Surrey Heath, with Woking Council continuing to provide their own contractor for street cleaning for residents living in the borough. If you live in Mole Valley and your recycling bin is getting full, please flatten cardboard to make more room, or place it in a folded, tied bundle next to your bin. Place any additional plastic, metal or glass inside a clear, tied plastic bag & leave it next to your bin.

Clear plastic sacks for extra recycling are available from the Mole Valley District Council office at Pippbrook, Dorking (Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm), and from the Mole Valley Employment and Skills Hub at the Swan Shopping Centre in Leatherhead (Monday to Friday, 9.30am to 3.30pm).

Collection crews have been instructed not to collect excess recycling that has been placed inside plastic bags or sacks that aren’t see-through. This is to prevent non-recyclable items from entering the waste stream.
