Thank you to everyone who took the time to come along to the Library Information Evening, it was really appreciated to see so many residents engaging with the proposals.
Throughout the day, we gathered feedback from those attending by inviting people to place a coin in a box to show how they felt after hearing the relocation plans.
For transparency, this video shows the counting of the coins. The results were as follows:

83 did not want the library to relocate
23 were in favour of the relocation
1 was unsure

Thank you again to everyone who came along and shared their views.

Royal Cornwall Show – Saturday Closure

It is with great regret that following a thorough assessment of forecast weather conditions and their impact on the showground, the difficult decision has been taken to cancel the final day of the Royal Cornwall Show on Saturday.

The safety and wellbeing of our visitors, exhibitors, competitors, members, staff, volunteers and contractors has been central to this decision and remains our highest priority.

We recognise how disappointing this news will be for everyone involved, particularly those who had planned to attend, exhibit or compete, and we would like to thank all our stakeholders for their patience, understanding and support.

Further information for ticket holders, exhibitors, competitors, members and other stakeholders will be communicated as soon as possible through the Royal Cornwall Show’s official channels.

Happy Volunteers’ Week (1st–7th June 2026)
Camelford Town Council would like to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone who gives their time to support our community.
A special thank you to those who support the Council directly – including the youth group volunteers at OCM, those who run our library groups such as Knit & Natter and the gardening group, our volunteer gardeners who help keep Camelford looking its best, and everyone who lends a hand during Fun Week, the Winter Festival and our other events throughout the year.
We would also like to recognise and thank all the fantastic community groups and organisations across the town, including groups such as the Christmas Lights Committee, Camelford Hall Committee, Old Bank Community Larder volunteers, Carnival Committee, and many more.
There are simply too many to name individually, but every single contribution helps make Camelford the strong, welcoming and vibrant community it is.
Finally, thank you to our Town Councillors, who volunteer their time throughout the year in service of the community.
We are incredibly grateful to each and every one of you

Thank you for everything you do.
