This fortnight’s prompt is:

A Booktok Book

Love or hate it, there’s no doubt that Booktok has revolutionised the way we read.

Who could have conceived 10 years ago of a book going viral??

Whether it’s romantasy, a thriller, or a spicy romance, there’s a Booktok Book for every taste.

Don’t feel you need to delve into Booktok slop if you don’t want to (I won’t be 🤭).

But if that’s your thing, feel free!

We are no judgement zone, and anything goes with this prompt.

A hot summer calls for fun reading.

So that’s exactly what we’re doing this fortnight!

Our reading prompt is:

A Book With An Animal in the Title

There are so many choices for this one!

Of Mice and Men, I Know Why The Caged Bird Sings, and The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time would all be ideal for this prompt 😊

I’ve returned to my favourite genre - Historical Fiction - for this prompt.

I can’t wait to tell you all about my choice at our next meeting at Cannock Library next Saturday.

That’s why this fortnight’s prompt is:

A Lead Character With A Disability

Books with differently-abled characters are important because they help us to understand other’s lived experiences.

They often show us that there are no limits to living a good life either 😊

This fortnight, we’re mixing it up 🤩

Our reading prompt is :

A Genre Hybrid Book

Genre hybrids are books that straddle more than one genre.

They might blend Romance with Historical Fiction, Mystery with Fantasy, or even Comedy with Magical Realism.

That’s just the tip of the iceberg!

Your TBR list is the place to start with this one - I wonder how many of those are genre hybrids?

(I’ve probably got a few on mine 😊)
