Behind ceilings and within ductwork, fire dampers are quietly being ignored. When they fail, there is no warning, just the rapid spread of fire and smoke beyond where it should ever reach.

Under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 and guidance in BS 9999, dampers must be inspected at least annually. Yet across the UK, many simply aren’t, leaving a hidden and serious compliance gap.

Great to have our Fire Division on site at (Fire Safety Event (FSE)) & TSE2026 (The Security Event (TSE)) yesterday.

It was a valuable opportunity to reconnect with suppliers, strengthen existing relationships, and have some insightful conversations around the direction of the industry. From wireless fire systems to evolving intrusion technologies.

Events like this are key for us, not just to see what’s new, but to properly understand how emerging technologies can be applied in real-world environments to deliver smarter, more effective solutions for our clients.

Operations Support Administrator
This role plays a central part in supporting our Operations function, with a strong focus on compliance, data accuracy, and maintaining audit-ready records. It offers an excellent opportunity for someone who is highly organised, detail-oriented, and looking to develop within a structured, process-driven environment.

Admin Assistant – Fire Door Division
Supporting a growing division, this role involves coordinating administrative activities across projects, including managing quotations, scheduling, and liaising with engineers, suppliers, and clients. It is well suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can manage multiple priorities effectively.

A lot of work goes into a tender long before a project ever reaches site.

Recently, Ceaton Security Services Limited received the results of a supply chain performance review following a recent tender submission.

The team achieved an overall score of 9.06, rated “Excellent”, placing us above the average supplier score for the project.

One result we were particularly pleased with was 10/10 for Quality & Depth of submission, reflecting the level of technical detail, planning and clarity provided at tender stage.

The review also recognised strong performance across programme planning, competitiveness, tender accuracy and timekeeping, with no areas identified requiring improvement.

Preparing tenders to this standard takes collaboration across estimating, engineering and operations teams to ensure that what we propose is not only competitive, but fully deliverable.

Deputy Fire Division Manager | Cardiff

We’re looking to appoint an experienced Deputy Fire Division Manager to support the leadership and day-to-day performance of the department.

This is a key role within Ceaton Security Services Limited, working directly alongside the Fire Divisional Manager, acting as second-in-command and helping drive project delivery, compliance, and customer experience from quotation through to completion.

We’re looking for someone with strong fire industry engineering experience, a solid understanding of life safety standards, and the confidence to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.

Ceaton has been operating for over 30 years and is now part of the Senseco Systems Limited Group. We invest in our people through ongoing training, performance reviews, and genuine progression opportunities within a supportive and structured environment.
