Our sister site Eastgate House, Rochester are taking part in Heritage Open Days. See below for details.

We are looking forward to welcoming everyone to Charles Dickens' Writing Chalet today, tomorrow and next weekend for !

Staff & volunteers will be on hand to talk about the history of the chalet & our exciting The National Lottery Heritage Fund project.

Come down and see us from 11am to 4pm.

Tours and talks are taking place throughout.

Introduction & short guided tour: 12pm and repeated at 2pm. Weather permitting the introductory talk, with replicas to handle and wear, will be in the garden. Suitable for all. Access to the building is via steps only, some of them challenging.

NEWS: 🗣️ Rochester Castle lit green in support of FASD awareness day

Last night (Wednesday, 9 September) we marked Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder awareness day.💚

Rochester Castle was lit green in support of those who have experienced challenges as a result of FASD, and in recognition of the health and social care professionals who are continuing to raise awareness of the potential harms of drinking alcohol during pregnancy.
