‘Tomorrow is the last day of our 2026 Season and therefore the last chance to sample Gemma’s delicious warming soup and home baked cakes before she `hangs up her apron’!

There is an opportunity now for someone to take over the running of the Courtyard Café, which is a standalone business and operates in partnership with Ballindalloch Estate. Our 2027 Season will start on 23rd March and runs until 30th September (with several groups booked in October 2027).

After 9 years of delivering the most delicious food in our Courtyard Café, Gemma has decided that it is the moment to have a little more free time in her summer months. She will be finishing her tenancy of the Café at the end of this season, when we close for the winter.

Do come and visit before the end of September to have a taste of her renowned Hummingbird Cake, amongst the other delights on offer…

…but this also leaves an opportunity for someone in 2027 to take over the running of the Courtyard Café, which is a standalone business.

The Castle and Gardens will be open from Tuesday 23 March 2027 until the end of September 2027 (with some booked groups into October) and we hope to partner with an experienced café owner to deliver a similar level of food standard as we currently provide.

We were honoured to host recently the Aberdeen-Angus Cattle Society’s 150 & Beyond Finale Celebration. King Charles III, the Patron of the Society, attended to unveil the 150th edition of the Herd Book. 275 guests enjoyed lunch on the lawn, entertainment in the marquee and the opportunity to review the Ballindalloch Herd, which is the oldest pedigree herd of Aberdeen-Angus cattle in the world. A great day was had by all.

Ballindalloch Castle & Gardens are taking part in the government initiative, Great British Summer Savings scheme, from 25th June to 1st September inclusive. This means reduced ticket prices for family attractions.
We are looking forward to welcoming you all and hoping the sun keeps shining!

We are thrilled to be having stands at the Royal Highland Show in Edinburgh this week. If you are going to be there, do drop by to see our Aberdeen-Angus cattle, taste our wh**ky and learn about the North East 250, all in the Presidential Marquee at the North on Avenue 13, by the Members Area.
