The Senior Centre aims to promote the health and well being of the older residents of Castlemilk and surrounding areas. The Centre, which is located in the old factor's office behind Castlemilk shopping centre, provides classes, day trips, cafe, weekend breaks, therapies, trips to the theatre and much more...

Unfortunately, The Senior Centre will be closed tomorrow (Thursday 18th June) due to urgent repairs being carried out in the Kitchen.

Thank you to all who joined us in the Centre for this afternoon’s party - what a great time we had.

After a bite to eat and a cuppa, we were joined by Vicki Kae for an afternoon of entertainment 🎤🎶

Vicki had our members up on their feet in no time at all and we danced the afternoon away with a mandatory break for bingo and raffles of course - time flies when you’re having fun! 💃🪩🕺

Thank you to STV News who visited The Senior Centre earlier in the week. They came out to speak to some of our members about the upcoming increase to the energy price cap, and the impacts the cost of living is already having on members’ bills and daily spending 📈

It’s vital that the voices of older adults are represented on important issues such as the rising cost of fuel, food and many other essentials! 📣

Thanks to our members for joining us on another trip to the lovely Blairgowrie – one of our favourite places!

As usual we loved our stay at The Angus Hotel & Spa, Blairgowrie – the food, the hospitality, the entertainment and were all brilliant 🤩

Throughout the weekend the members also enjoyed shopping, walks, travel into Dundee and Perth, watching the football, karaoke, time in the park and simply enjoying each other’s company in the beautiful weather ☀

For those attending The Senior Centre going forward please be aware access on foot and by car has now changed.

We ask ask that members use the temporary footpath with wooden handrail (purple) to access the Centre rather than using the temporary driveway.

Car parking for members is available on the grounds of the old opticians at location A on the map below. Any cars remaining in this car parking after we close for the day will be locked in. Limited on street parking is available outside Dougrie Court.

Access to the shops from The Senior Centre requires members to leave the Centre using the temporary footpath (purple) and use the new public footpath (green) which will direct members alongside B&M.
