💙 Happy Father’s Day to all our amazing Kingfisher dads! 💙

Today we celebrate all the dads, grandads, stepdads and father figures who help make Cheddar Kingfishers such a special club.

Thank you for the early morning starts, poolside cheering, endless lifts to training and galas, stopwatch duties, kit bag carrying, and for always encouraging our swimmers to do their best.

Whether you’re timing races, volunteering behind the scenes, or simply being there with a smile and words of support, your dedication helps our swimmers thrive both in and out of the pool.

We hope you have a fantastic day and know how much your support means to our swimmers and our club community.

🌊🏊‍♀️ Final Kingfishers celebrations this weekend go to Audrey! 💙🧡

This weekend, Audrey took on the legendary Gwineas Open Water Swim – a race firmly embedded in Cornish swimming folklore and often regarded as the unofficial Cornish Open Water Championships.

With a distance of 3.8km… if you swim straight!, competitors faced what many described as the hardest conditions seen in the last 10 years. 🌊💨

Despite the challenging seas, Audrey showed incredible determination and resilience to complete this iconic event.

From the beach start to the finish line, Audrey swam with courage and kept her brilliant smile throughout, earning a well-deserved medal and memories that will last a lifetime.

Huge congratulations, Audrey – we’re all incredibly proud of you! 👏🏅

🏊‍♂️🥉🥉 WELL DONE OLI! 🥉🥉

A huge congratulations to Oli Laken of Cheddar Kingfishers Swimming Club on an outstanding performance at the British Masters Swimming Championships.

Oli proudly represented the club and brought home two national bronze medals:

🥉 50m Freestyle – 25.86
🥉 50m Backstroke – 30.57

A fantastic achievement and a reward for all the hard work, dedication and commitment shown in training. Everyone at Cheddar Kingfishers is incredibly proud of you!

🎉 We’re Back in the Cotswold Swimming League! 🎉

We are absolutely delighted to announce that Cheddar Kingfishers Swimming Club has been accepted back into the Cotswold Swimming League for the 2027 season! 🏊‍♀️🏊‍♂️

After a few years away while we rebuilt and strengthened the club, we are incredibly proud and excited to be returning to league competition.

A huge thank you to all of our swimmers, coaches, volunteers, committee members, and families who have supported the club on this journey. Your dedication and belief in the club have made this possible. 💙

✅ Just 226 days until racing begins!

The countdown is on, and we are looking forward to an exciting year of training, teamwork, and competition.

Thank you once again to the Cotswold Swimming League for welcoming us back. See you poolside in 2027! 🏅
