🌺South Woodham Ferrers Remembers🌺

Our poppy displays will be going up around South Woodham Ferrers next week, and we’d love our community to get behind this special cause.

Thousands of handmade knitted and crocheted poppies have been created by volunteers, bringing communities together to remember those who have served and sacrificed.

We’re inviting residents to help us turn these poppies into support by donating to the Royal British Legion on behalf of South Woodham Ferrers.

❤️ Every donation, no matter how small, makes a difference and helps support serving personnel, veterans and their families.

You can donate through our MyGivingHub link below, or scan the QR code on our posters at Champions Manor Hall.

At last night’s Council meeting, the Town Mayor Councillor Bob Massey, Deputy Town Mayor Councillor Lisa Kelly and Town Clerk were proud to receive the Gold Award from Mike Eldred, Chair of the Essex Association of Local Councils (EALC).

Gold is the highest level of the NALC Local Council Award Scheme, recognising excellence in governance, leadership, community engagement and financial management.

We are incredibly proud of this achievement and grateful to everyone who has helped make it possible.
