PARISH COUNCIL SEPTEMBER MEETINGS 2026

The Parish Council will meet on the following dates in September

Tuesday 1st September – Services Committee Meeting TBA
Tuesday 8th September – Resources Committee Meeting TBA
Wednesday 16th September – Governance Committee Meeting TBA
Monday 21st September – Full Council Meeting 7pm at Caldy Valley Neighbourhood Church

Members of the press and public are welcome to attend the meetings, however, there may be occasions where the Parish Council or the Committee resolves to exclude members of the press and public Under the Public Bodies (Admission to Meetings) Act 1960, Section 1(2), a parish council may, by resolution, exclude the public from all or part of a meeting if publicity would be prejudicial to the public interest due to the confidential nature of the business or for other special reasons arising from the nature of the proceedings

Deewater Grange Annual Summer Garden Party

We're delighted to be hosting our Annual Summer Garden Party on Saturday 8th August from 12:00pm to 3:00pm, and we'd be grateful for your support in helping us spread the word throughout the local community.

This year's event promises to be a fantastic afternoon of food, entertainment and family fun, and we are opening our doors to welcome members of the public to come along and enjoy everything on offer.

Visitors can look forward to:

🍔 BBQ and delicious refreshments
🍕 Freshly made pizzas from our pizza oven
🎶 Live music
🎩 Magician
🦉 Boos Zoo animal experiences
🎨 Face painting
🏰 Bouncy castle
🎯 Family games and activities

The event is completely free to attend and provides a wonderful opportunity for local families, friends and neighbours to come together, enjoy a fun-filled afternoon and experience the warm, welcoming atmosphere of our community.

Has anybody lost some keys after the Funday on the Field on Saturday - some were found. They are with us in the GBPC Office. If you think they are yours we will be in the office on Monday morning, Tuesday until 4.30 and Wednesday morning.

OPEN!!!

And it has been reopened thanks to very quick response by our amazing Parish Council Maintenance Contractor who found the problem and our huge thanks to NLG Asbestos Solutions who attended so quickly on a Sunday.
Sadly, some people’s actions are affecting and costing the community. Please, if you note any antisocial behaviour on Queens Road - inform police via 111, by phone or online. If urgent, and danger to themselves, like this or recently burning a tyre… call 999.

Urgent! Queens Road Park Closed - Sunday, 28th June

This is due to a piece of asbestos being used as a bike ramp last night and it has it has been broken into pieces.

The inspector felt we should close the park for everyone’s protection. Hopefully, we are looking at a certified remover attending today so we can reopen as soon as possible.

Police bike marking will be just inside main access gate off Queens Road.

“Your Bus” is up and running!

Your Bus is a low cost, bookable community transport service for residents in the borough of Cheshire West & Chester. Running Monday to Friday. Free to join. The service is designed to help people stay connected, independent and able to reach the places that matter.

Your Bus community minibus service is available to residents who are:
- Over 80 years-old or
- In receipt of Disability Living Allowance (mobility component) or
- Personal Independence Payment (PIP) or
- Attendance Allowance or
- Have a health reason why they cannot access public transport or
- There is no public transport provision in their area.

There will be a fleet of eight new minibuses, fully accessible with space for wheelchair users. The service will operate, at a minimum, from 10am to 3pm, Monday to Friday.

All users will need to register. This can be done at any time, up to and including when they board the vehicle. Multi-channel booking is available with users able to call, WhatsApp or use a website to book.
