⛳️ Celebrating a year of American Golf in Chichester

The Mayor recently visited American Golf in Chichester to celebrate the store’s first anniversary and meet the team.

There was also time for the Mayor to have a go on the golf simulator — proving that civic duties can occasionally involve a little bit of fun! 😄

Congratulations to the team at American Golf on reaching your first year in Chichester, and thank you for the warm welcome.

We wish you every success for the year ahead! 🏌️‍♂️

🇬🇧 Throwback Tuesday | VJ Day

As we look ahead to this Saturday’s VJ Day commemorations in Chichester, we’re taking a look back at a previous commemoration held at the city’s war memorial.

These photographs capture the Mayor taking part in the service of remembrance, alongside representatives of local organisations and members of the community.

VJ Day – Victory over Japan Day – is marked on 15 August and commemorates the surrender of Japan in 1945, bringing the Second World War to an end.

This Saturday, 15 August, the Mayor will join the community at Litten Gardens to mark the 81st anniversary of VJ Day.

🇬🇧 We will remember.

A visit to Chichester Camera Club Exhibition 📸

The Mayor and Mayoress were delighted to meet members of Chichester Camera Club and hear more about the club and the work of its members.

It was wonderful to see the passion and creativity that goes into photography in our local community, and to have the opportunity to admire some of the members’ work.

Thank you to everyone at Chichester Camera Club for the warm welcome and for taking the time to share your work with the Mayor and Mayoress. 📷🖼️

Why don't you pop in and take a look at some of the works for yourself. The exhibition is on until Saturday 8th August.
