‘Residents of East Wittering and Bracklesham Parish are warmly invited to take part in an upcoming Q&A with Jess Brown-Fuller, Member of Parliament for Chichester constituency. The event will be held at Downview Hall, East Wittering, PO20 8NS on Saturday 5th September from 10:00 – 11:30.

This session is an opportunity for local people to put questions directly to their MP, raise issues of concern, and hear more about the work Jess is doing both locally and in Parliament.

Events like this are an important way for you to engage with your MP, ensuring that the priorities of your community are heard.

Whether you are interested in local services, community facilities, or national policy, this is your chance to join the discussion and make your voice heard.

More Active - Free Adult Taster Sessions in September

When: Thursday 3rd September or Thursday 24th September, 10.30am to 11.15am

Come and try a Taster Session and find out more about our free10 week ‘More Active’ course which starts in October, hosted by the Activity and Wellbeing Team at the Westgate Leisure Centre.

More Active is ultimately about moving more in everyday life. The course is for adults currently doing less than 150 minutes of exercise a week and who are looking to build their fitness levels and grow in confidence when exercising at home, outdoors or in a gym environment.

The Taster Session will be a welcoming, supportive session introducing you to basic exercises that help you do to real life things more easily, safely and with more confidence. You will be both standing and/or on the floor, and using equipment, therefore you need to be able to stand unaided for 45 minutes and be able to get up and down off the floor.

Come and try a ‘Taster’ before the course starts in October.

Bus journeys made by children aged 5-15 have more than doubled across West Sussex, thanks to free travel through the UK's Great British Summer of Savings campaign. 🎉

If your child is aged 15 or under, they can continue to travel free on local bus services throughout August. Adult single fares are also capped at £3 per journey, helping families enjoy summer days out for less.

We're also continuing to improve bus travel across the county, with investments in more real-time information displays and bus priority measures helping make journeys easier and more reliable.

A huge thank you to everyone that braved the heat and attended our Summer Picnic on Saturday. We had a wonderful time arranging and hosting the event for you, one of our Parish Councillors even tried his hand at the circus skills!!!.
