Your MPs read local papers and so do your neighbours. Writing a letter to your local paper will spread the word about Free School Meals for All where you live. It will put pressure on the Government to stop blocking the Bill and share our movement in your community.

Don’t worry if you haven’t done something like this before. Come along to our support call at 7pm on Wednesday 15 February. You’ll be with other parents, educators, and concerned community members, and we’ll do it together.

We’ll give you ideas and take you through each step to write and submit a short letter to the editor right on the call.

No Child Left Behind National Education Union

I’m writing to my local paper to share my reasons for supporting Free School Meals for All. 7pm, Wednesday 15 February. Will you join me?

My wife Sheila and I first became friends with Mike and Christine when we started attending events and meetings of the SEA (the Socialist Educational Association) more than twenty years ago. Mike and Christine were already longstanding members at that point and they introduced us to the, at times, somewhat obscure inner workings of the organisation....

For decades we have been using toys to cram learning into playtime – and toys have increasingly been marketed as helping to turn children into prosperous, high-achieving adults. But it turns out this approach is all wrong
