Every vote counts, and real change starts with people showing up.

✅ Encourage others to take part in the democratic process

It’s time to start putting people before party.

For too long, politics has been dominated by party loyalty, where candidates are expected to follow a party line instead of standing up for the people they represent.

When you vote for an independent candidate, you’re choosing someone who answers to their community—not to party leadership.

Independent candidates have the freedom to listen, think independently, and work with anyone who has good ideas. They’re not tied to party politics or pressured to support decisions that don’t benefit their constituents. Their focus is simple: representing the people who elected them.

Voting independent also sends a powerful message that voters want accountability, transparency, and real leadership. It shows that communities value integrity, fresh thinking, and representatives who will stand up for what’s right—even when it’s not politically convenient.

If you want real change, it starts with how you vote.

* Support leaders who put your community first.
* Support leaders who think independently.
* Support leaders who answer to the people—not a party.

👉 This election, make your vote count. 🗳️

Consider voting independent and be part of the change.

Unbelievable.

Just 12 days after the Reform led NNC voted on mass to reject the chance to show support for Zane’s Law. We now have this.

It’s absolutely shameful that this is happening and our elected representatives from Reform chose not to support us.

On Thursday 19th March voters in 2 areas of Corby have the chance to send a message to our representatives, to say that we WILL be listened to.

Small independent retailers are the heart of our high streets. They create local jobs, bring character to our communities, and keep money circulating within the local economy.

Whether it’s the weekend takeaway, Milk for your evening cuppa, that morning bacon roll or the sharp haircut for going out. These retailers are vital.

But with the latest increases in business rates, many small shops are being pushed closer to the edge. Unlike large chains and online giants, independent retailers often operate on very tight margins. Rising overheads — energy, rent, and now higher business rates — make it harder to keep the doors open.

When small retailers struggle, our whole community feels it. Empty shop fronts don’t just affect business owners; they change the look, feel, and vibrancy of our towns and neighbourhoods.

We need a fairer system that supports small businesses rather than making it harder for them to survive. Protecting independent retailers means protecting local jobs, local investment, and the character of our high streets.

If we value thriving local communities, we must ensure the businesses that sustain them have a fair chance to succeed.

To do that, we need people who are prepared to put residents' voices in front of the big parties, and as a Taxi owner myself, I’ve been fighting the council over issues affecting my trade for 6 years.

On Thursday 19th March vote independent but more importantly keep shopping local.

Spent yesterday afternoon with my son delivering leaflets in the Corby West area.

The level of frustration with NNC, amongst those residents that I spoke to, was extremely high.

The main theme was that they feel cheated. They were promised change but received more of the same.

They promised to freeze council taxes but it’s been raised to the maximum.

They promised to sort out our roads and renegotiate the Kier contract. Our roads have never been as bad and Kier laughing all the way to the bank with public money.

They failed to protect our families from the toxic waste scandal by not supporting Zane’s Law and in doing so became the first unitary authority in the country to do so.

Increased school transportation cost by £170 per year for families already facing huge council taxes rises.

Does this really sound like we are being given a REFORM of local politics or just more of the same?

All parties are the same. They look after the parties and donors interests first. Residents fit in lower down on that list.

The only way to get genuine representation at local level is to vote independent.

Make your vote count on Thursday 19th March

So NNC voted against backing Zane’s Law and in doing so became the first council in the country to do so.

For background, Zane's Law' proposes measures to address the crisis of contaminated land in the UK, prioritising the protection and safety of people and planet, and the human right to a healthy environment above all other considerations.

This has been backed by numerous councils, major unions, professional institutes like the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) and the Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH), Political leaders and Mayors of London, Liverpool and Manchester and not to forget the legal representative, for the families affected in our own town, Des Collins.

The vote was very tight but ultimately unsuccessful, as no Reform councillor voted in favour of the proposal. (It was a recorded vote details attached)

Let that sink in.

Not one of our local Corby Reform councillors voted to support a law that so many people in this town have been affected by. Not one of them is thinking "Hang on a minute, this is important to our community. I'm supporting this."

That’s party politics for you, voting as told to by the party whip and not voting to represent their constituents.

But hey, they put a message out afterwards to say Steel Road is to be resurfaced early now.
