Don’t forget the Parents, Teachers, Friends Association meeting is next week Thursday 3rd October at 2pm at the school 😊 This is a really good way of making friends and connections at Kingsbury Academy as all of our children have a SEN need at the school and the journey is one that we need peer support with.

Happy Autumn Term everyone! 🍁
This is a great way to connect parents and carers together on our children’s SEN journey.

We are also setting our next fundraising goals at our next Parents & Carers meeting on Thursday October 3rd at 2pm at the school.

We would really like existing and new parents and carers to attend this meeting to be a part of this journey if possible 😊

🎉 The Best News Ever 🎉 The special needs playground for the children of Kingsbury Academy is going to be built! THIS EASTER HOLIDAY 🩷🌟 It’s all happening very quickly!! 🌟😍🤍

The playground fundraising journey of two years has really picked up pace, so much so, our fundraising total of £30,000 has been recently match funded by the trust 😁 which means the playground building has commenced this Easter holiday!!
We have around £10,000 to continue fundraising (so our journey isn’t completely over yet) to get the outdoor sitting area attached the playground complete - this will allow the children to also have lessons outdoors which is so exciting.
🩷 THANK YOU 🩷 to everyone that has donated, fundraised, cycled around Ireland, climbed mountains, ran for Kingsbury, boxed, sold cakes and attended our 4 community events (just a few activites!) you do not realise the impact and legacy this will leave not only on our children but for children with additional needs in the future also 🌟

One of our wonderful staff members that has recently relocated up north is competing in a charity boxing match tonight fundraising for our playground! 😍🌟🫶🏼

Traian was absolutely adored by our children and he is still thinking of them by fundraising for them … please leave him a message of support or a sponsor not matter how small if you can, all proceeds are going to our special needs playground, THANK YOU TRAIAN 🙏🏻🌟🫶🏼

One of our parents from Kingsbury Academy has created a Sen Basketball session for ages 6-13 years, which will start this Saturday 9th March! Please take your children along if you want them to experience fun & games in a safe space 🏀✨💫 See page for further details!

🛝 Spring 2024 update 🌸
Well we have been working hard behind the scenes as a PTFA on our playground vision, we can confirm that we have raised just under £29,000 in 23 months of fundraising as a group of determined parents, staff and local charities 🥰

£10,000 donated this week from Birmingham Irish Cycle Appeal!!!!! WOW! ❤️ THANK YOU
We see you cycling in the pouring rain and blistering sun and we think you are a bunch of superstars! 🌟
We started our charity only last year with a small group of determined mums from Kingsbury & John our School Governor.
We had a vision for a wonderful SEN playground for our children, for regulation and play skills to progress and to have FUN! Our children LOVE the outdoors 🙂
In 20 months we have fundraised just under £30,000 completing a series of fundraising activities, generous donations ⬇️ & we now have more eager parents onboard our fundraising team.
We are building a lasting legacy for our children and SEN children for years to come 🙏🏻
